race runners and my carrera’s

i used to wear flip flops, Uggs, and the occasional flat. now that sneakers are popular and there is a style for every occasion, i feel my footwear style got a major boost and a lot more practical.
my toes are always cold and in the warmer months i only want to be in sandals. Rain, cold restaurants, evenings when the sun goes down, all situations when my little toes freeze and sandals are a not the right choice.
these sneakers were only available in 2 colors when they first came out. now, they are available in a variety of colors and materials. i might just have to add these to my Christmas list, they will be perfect to wear to a Grizzlies game 🙂
i have to say these sunglasses are probably my favorite. i like that they are mirrored and you can’t see my eyes when i wear them,  i love the shape, and the neutral black and metallic. i love a hint of metallic on just about anything. i also hunted these down like crazy, i went to numerous stores and multiple cities to find them. they were finally found at the Jimmy Choo are Rodeo Drive.

the breakdown:
i wore this outfit on my birthday when i treated myself to a blowout. i typically would choose to spend my day at the pool from open to close but it was way too cold for that. as far as i can remember this birthday was the coldest one i’ve ever had. therefore, it was too cold to wear sandals or flip flops, sneakers were a must. unfortunately, it was cool enough for jeans too (and it was the end of June!) and i wanted to keep it light with this tee, it is summer after all.
