Dressing Up For Ice Cream

Even thought it rained during my shoot I had a blast. It was so much fun because I was doing something I normally wouldn’t do. I was going to head downtown and do a shoot on the Main Street bridge but the sprinkles turned into a downpour, so I decided to walk next door to Jeni’s and enjoy some ice-cream with Emma. We figured why not shoot here. Actually, that was Emma’s idea. I am just getting over taking pictures on the street let alone in side an ice-cream shop. Jeni’s is delicious and deserves to be photographed so why not!?
The Breakdown:
I absolutely adore this color dress. It’s a unique shade of pink that is almost a lilac color and very unexpected for fall. I chose to style this dress for the summer weather (minus the rain) with nude sandals and a pastel clutch. This dress is so simple it needed some accessories spruce it up. This necklace is an awesome statement, it’s simple and subtle and makes the perfect impact. I can see this dress transitioning to cooler weather with black booties and a leather jacket!
As far as my ice-cream choices… salty caramel and wildberry lavender!
